Charline Humphrey Young

	Charline Humphrey Young, 83, of 963 S. Lake Drive, DuQuoin, Illinois, formerly of Royalton, died at 5:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2001 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
Charline was born May 6, 1918 in Benton, Kentucky to John W. and Pearl (Butler) Humphrey.
	She married C. Noble Smith April 21, 1937 in Benton, Kentucky. He preceded her in death November 26, 1965.
	She married Thomas Morris Young September 5, 1970 in West Frankfort. He preceded her in death March 1, 1995.
	She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Don Siefert and Lillian and Lamoyne Rains all of DuQuoin; three grandchildren, Tracy McIntire, Lisa Cook and her husband, Jeff and Stephanie Day and her husband, Joe all of DuQuoin; eight great grandchildren, Shalane, Nolen and Morgan McIntire, Cameryn, Carleigh and Spencer Cook, Sydnie and Sadie Jo Day all of DuQuoin; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Earline and Earl Cain of Herrin, Margaret and Jack Steele and Stella Walker all of Royalton; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Barbara Humphrey of Royalton; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Thelma Smith of DuQuoin. 
	She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe Thomas Humphrey and one sister, Irene Humphrey. 
Charline was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royalton and she was a homemaker.
	Funeral services for Mrs. Young were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton with Reverend Ted Clark officiating. Burial was at Miners Cemetery in Royalton. Visiting hours were from 6 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home at Royalton.
